Where to find the minimap

I wanna make a new loading screen , but don't know the way!

I want in the up left corner to be the minimap infront of a background image , but where can i find the minimap? plz help me!

hey, i had the same problem,

go to this site and look on the side on the navbar the link is:

open your map with winMPQ and extract war3mapPreview.tga from it. That's your minimap.

Strange! I tried it out and it didn't worked.I did 2 different proccesses , and i'm gonna write them so if i did somewhere a mistake u can tell me where

Process 1:

1)Opened W3M Map Utilities
2)Opened my map
3)Pressed on the winmpq button
4)Winmpq opened , but i couldn't find any file named war3mapPreview.tga

Proccess 2:
1)Downloaded winmpq
2)opened it
3)opened my map with it
4)tried to find war3mapPreview.tga but there wasn't any file with that name!

Maybe this will help u : I didn't changed the minimap's image , i just want the original one!

OH OH.

He wants a custom loading screen, with a mini map in the upper left hand corner.

He has no custom minimap in his file.

Run the game normally, and hit Print Screen when you see the mini map image. Then exit Warcraft III. Create a new image in your photo editor, and PASTE in the screen shot.

You can then select and copy the minimap from that screen shot.

Creating the new image, streching it, converting it, is all inside the tutorial.

(Note, we don't teach people how to use photo editor. Basic conceptual understanding is required.)
