why is this trigger occuring twice?

Trigger:
  • Events
    • Unit - A unit comes within 400.00 of Villager (Female) 0007 <gen>
    • Conditions
      • (Triggering unit) Equal to Small Boy 0000 <gen>
    • Actions
      • Special Effect - Destroy QuestEffects[3]
      • Quest - Display to (All players) the Quest Update message: You have a new ques...
      • Quest - Create a Required quest titled Worried Mother with the description The villager's son ..., using icon path ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNAmbush.blp
      • Set Quest[3] = (Last created quest)
      • Unit - Make Child (2) 0022 <gen> Invulnerable
      • Trigger - Turn on MotherRecieve Kid Follow <gen>
      • Trigger - Turn off (This trigger)


I recieved the quest twice then the trigger is turned off. why is this

Try putting

Code:
Trigger - Turn off (this trigger)

as the first Action rather than the last. Not sure if that will work, but its worth a shot.

that means your event is also occur twice,
are you sure the unit doesn't go in and out then in again?

triggering the event twice wouldn't cause the trigger to run twice, unless it was at the same exact moment. I can't see any reason why this would run twice. The problem is likely with something else. Though you should make the Turn off action run first, like tommerbob said, just in case one of the other actions is causing it to screw up.

Perhaps you are creating a 'kid' in the region with MotherReceive KidFollow? Causing it to trigger.
