Hero Contest #2

1) Your "Slide" hotkey doesn't work.
2) Your Frozen Impact effect dummy hasn't got locust, so it's health bar is showing.
3) Your descriptions doesn't tell anything about the damage the spells do or anything.
4) Slide is highly overpowered and the ultimate deals crappy damage compared to Slide.
5) what's the deal with Frozen Impact? All it does is some damage every second? When reading the tooltip you expect to gain some of the health drained as a heal or something.

1. Hm will have to check on that.
2. You are supposed to be able to kill it...
3. Will look over them and see if I can be clearer.
4. Why is it overpowered? It doesn't damage that much and it is neccesary for him to have the ability since he's ultimate and dragons breath are more "mellee" like. You must stand real close to really do some damage and then you need a way to get out of there fast in order to survive (like blink for warden).
5."Creates a frozen totem that will slowly drain in energy from all nearby units for 30 " Guess you could missunderstand it... As I said I will have to make the tooltips clearer what they do...

Don't use 'S'. It clashes with 'Stop'. I suggest use 'd'.

The ability button placing seems confusing. They get jumbled up after learning.

Suggestion:
Why not giving the Slide Dummy 'Float' movement type, with base speed of 1 and movement height of 1. This will eliminate the collision effect, which seems quite weird.

Question:
Are we allowed to give such comments and suggestion to the contestant since we are not the judges?

EDIT : REmove it 4 awhile. fixing lag.
EDIT : Oh well, the glacier breath lags at the 1st time it's casted but after, no problem. No leasks. maybe it's the effect (so mant effects at once)
Also, the Artic spiral will surely cause lag if you have too many units dragged at once. Well, maybe I'll add maximum units dragged after this...
EDIT : Changes the periodic to 0.08 due to lag issue. It isn't very smooth now but yeah... at least it should work... Also add hero history and some effect change. Also little balancing and terraining.
Again, 10/04/08 EDIT : Added some stuffs and get minor skills change.

Also, it's a good Idea to not use so many Effects at once, it's just overkill.
Also, think of different effect effect, it's boring to see those 3 effects... (Frost Nova, the Ice Block thingy, and Frost Wyrm thingy...)

Spellcaster Hero, adept at supportive spells and disrupting enemy force.
Can learn Icefall, Frostbite, Novaburst and Flash Blizzard.

Notes
-- I'm still checking her balance, so there'll be more edits
-- Not a flashy eye-candy-freak Hero expect no lag
-- Actually there is lag, but only on first casts due to ability loadings
-- I fail to be unique (someone else's Hero also uses Jaina model)
-- Let's hope everything works correctly.
-- Tell me if there is a non-technical flaw (map can't be opened, needs more test units, etc.)
-- Uses a line of JASS to order a unit cast Rain of Chaos properly.
-- No big effect or imbaness here, since it only orders the unit to cast Rain of Chaos.
-- The GUI one is bugged. When converted to Custom Text, it orders "rainoffire" instead of "rainofchaos"
-- UPDATE 01 : Reworked 2nd spell since custom Gameplay Constants is not used in melee games.
-- UPDATE 02 : Reduced cooldown on 2nd spell to make it up for movement loss.
-- UPDATE 03 : Balance issues.

Posted Earlier: What's all this talking about being restricted to a few models? From what I've read, you may chance the vertex coloring of units. And unless they got some stupid policy for not attaching any projectiles etc on your hero, you can make practically any unit look somewhat like a ice/frost creature.

As the post said you can take really take any model and make it ice-like so we aren't really limited.

As a note, I was the first one to use the Frost Revenant model.

EDIT 2: I made some minor adjustments to my Hero.

There's no difference in that, since both ways give you an option to cast the extra spell, or not, while the ultimate is taking place.

The second and third spells are cool . Damn it. I like the way you stack the dummy brilliance aura unit. Make it looks really cool >.<.

Mr death:
For one of your skill, I can't remember the name (the one with the ice blocks swirling), after cast, and move away, the frost nova is casted at the position of the caster when he initially cast the spell. Not at the currect position of the hero. (hope you get what I mean). Is it suppose to be like this?
