The Scorpion

Hi.
I forced some creativity out of me, and is almost happy with the results.
Now I'm wondering if there's any way I can improve this picture?
What's good about it, what's bad about it, etc?

Also, this picture is meant to be a wallpaper, but (as always) Photobucket re-sizes pictures that are over 800x640 (if I remember correctly) into 800x640.
So yea, it's not full size, but that doesn't matter.
Anyway, here it is:

Adding shadow to in front of the scorpion would be nice.

Maybe make everything a tad lighter so its more visible. Or at least the effects.

I like the effects going off the top of the scorpion, but i don't like the ones going across it.

It was meant to be behind it, sort of.
I could delete the lines across the Scorpion completely (so that it looks like it's behind.)

Make it have a reflection, more contrast, and add some fire somewhere.
