Buff Behavior Persisting through death

Do they? Pretty simple question. Do buff behaviors persist through a unit's death? If not by default, then is there a way to make this happen without reapplying the buff when they are revived? Im asking this because the custom hero abilities being added to each hero in my custom hero aos map are going to be added purely via the data editor, ie: ability button only visible when a buff behavior count is equal to 1. As I'm severely disappointed with the trigger editor i would love to avoid it as much as possible.

How are you killing/reviving your unit?

woah reply glitch there, and just a normal death via another unit damaging it. no extra systems or triggering done, just data editor damage effects and normal attacks

But more importantly, how do you revive it?

not sure how im going to do that yet, it will be a hero revive system, not normal units

Hmm - well a hero revival system tend to be pretty complicated (if you want to keep the abilities learned and exp earned). I would suggest to use the "Hero Death Prevention" from teh terran campaign

In that case, the answer to your question depends entirely on how you do the revival. If you let the unit die and just use the "Create unit" action to re-create the unit at spawn, it wont keep the behavior obviously, since it's a new unit.

If you prevent it from dying, like they do in the campaign(one of the last missions, where you have raynor and 3 other "heroes" that can't die), the hero never actually dies, so the behavior remains like normal.
