Evasion aura

I was wondering if its possible to make an aura out of evasion...
I've already made the trigger, except for the event...
I tried using "a unit comes within range of <unit>", but i can only select a premade unit.... Any help would be useful :)

EDIT : i also wonder if there is an event like..."A unit gets outside X range of unit" :)

making an aura isn't that easy. first of all there is no event that detects when a unit leaves range and there is no "clean" way to use comes within range (the only method to use it for units that aren't preplaced is with Trigger - Add Event which can cause a real mess).
the best way would be to use vexorian's spell factory. it has a very easy to configure template for an aura which you might find very useful ;)

use another aura, exemple Devotion aura, but remove the effect, let the buff and rename it to Evasion aura (The buff).

Now, do this

      Unit - A unit learns a skill

      (Learned hero skill) Equal to Evasion Aura

      Trigger - Turn on Evasion Aura <gen>

      Unit Group - Pick every units in Leak_UnitGroup and do (Actions)
          Loop - Actions
              Unit - Add Evasion to (Picked unit)
      Set Leak_UnitGroup2 = ((Units in (Entire map) matching (Matching unit) has buff Evasion Aura) Equal to False)
          Loop - Actions
              Unit - Remove Evasion from (Picked unit)
      Custom script:   call DestroyGroup(udg_Leak_UnitGroup)
      Custom script:   call DestroyGroup(udg_Leak_UnitGroup2)

Why not just give the Evasion spell graphics...like the aura of your choice for graphics, and it will have an evasion %...

I meant...you know the evasion spell?

Add caster graphics to it, for an aura, then give it an AoE.


I think that would work...

Is this really true?? I really wanted to be able to do that with something in my map!!

Since the buff doesn't show (and that is a problem for a unit?), you will have to fix that, then to test the map.
