I would recommend that you take some classes irrelavent to your major to be sure that's what you want to do. I was going to double major in Foreign Affairs and Arabic, and then take Russian as the minor (I was told I needed to have a minor in something else to graduate) because I already know it, but I still needed a couple more credits because so I took a class on Religious Mythology or something, and now I'm going to get a minor in Theology instead, which for a lot of people won't probably be helpful, but I'm trying to get a job with the Government to work with foreign nations, and if I get sent somewhere with strict religious beliefs (like most of the Middle East), then I'll know at least some about their religious beliefs so I can avoid saying stupid shit and messing the whole thing up.

What is it that you want to do? You should probably figure that out and base your minor in that. Like if you want to make video games, you might want to minor in Math, but if you want to work with Microsoft in the Outsource Department, maybe speaking a little bit of Chinese or whatever country they're outsourcing to would help.

You can't choose your minors here in the Philippines.. Everything is a set up.. Even studying "nursing" takes 5 years to accomplish / graduate

It takes about four years to get a BSN here. You can get a two year degree and become a registered nurse, too, I guess.

1) don't drink alone
2) look out for hobos
3) make sure no classes are before 10

hey... i'm back at our house...

i'll be going back on monday. it's only a 5-6 hour trip.

our classes are only on tuesdays to fridays.
TTh, i'm from 10am to 2:30pm.
WF, i'm from 8:30am to 5:30pm.

the only good classes i have, IMO, are Philosopical Analysis and Computer Science.

our Philo prof is really good.
and our CompSci instructor is a girl... really young, looks like she graduated only a few years back.

and yeah, any of you guys know a downloadable C Programming tutorial? preferably a pdf file.

hey guys,

'just wanna tell you that i'll be going for college already in about a week.

i'll be leaving home and going up the mountains .
(quite literally 'cause the city where i'll be at is up in the mountains)

this isnt a good-bye thread though, i'll be taking this laptop i'm using and my phone that can serve as my modem.
so i'll stop by sometimes.

and you may be asking why i'm going to college already while i'm only 16 .
the answer is that our county has a different school system than that of others.
we have no junior-high or middle school.
we enter when we're about 6, then 6 grades, 4 yrs of HS then college already.

maybe i'll spend more time on my WE than here at the forums to save my phone bill .

so any advice guys? hehe... .

and oh, i'm taking Computer Science.

I'm going 15 11th of july and I'm a 2nd year HS student in Baguio city, that means I'll be 16 in 3rd year, I'm not embarassed w/ it

My plans on my course, I'll either be taking ComSci or Fine Arts or some course similar to Literature depending on my skill level, because I'm doing HTML since age 12 and my uncle who successfully graduated in SLU college became my inspiration to be proficient in programming. But in college I'd like to join a battle of the bands competition or a musical activity because music is what I'm good at.

My mom also suggested that I study in Singapore, where the best of the best study they say..

Offtopic: OMG we just bought NFA rice finally, just kidding we bought sinandomeng rice!

I live in a subdivision next to Sarok Village, Camp 7. Convention Center is also the place where my pre-school and elementary graduation and commencement exercises was held.

Tips and advice: be careful anywhere, my grandpa and mom know a dozen modus operandis against young students. A UB student got killed while he was taking a jeep. Also don't hang out at night, gangs and frats flourish even when the curfew starts. In other words be cautious anywhere. Study well in your course and avoid excessive drinking/smoking and 'pa-macho' stuff, or don't do them at all. Study hard in comsci, that's what my uncle did and became succesful.
