Map Is Crashing

Okay sorry for being away for so long; I know I started this thread some time ago, but I am back at it now and still trying to figure this bug out. I did eventually try these suggestions:

Why is my unit causing crashes or disconnects?
Not everything you do in the editor will be valid in game. Check for these.
"These can cause crashes/disconnects"
-Set a unit's collision size to 0.
-Set a building's pathing map to "none".
-Make a hero building.
-Give a unit a loading ability without a cargo ability.
-Set the "Damage - Number of Dice" field to a high number
(there is no real reason to set it above 2, just raise the base damage instead)

Fixed all of the above - still crashes.

that happened to me
do you have any neutral buildings that your town hall can create?
This happened to me when i tried clicking the build menu on my peasent
instant disconnect, sometimes frozen
EDIT
try removing everything your town hall can create except for things like peasents
then add all your old stuff, leaving the new stuff out

Tried this - still crashes.

I know that it is not an issue with upgrades, abilities, buffs, or scripts/triggers. I can import any and all of this data to another map without having that map crash. It is specifically object data: a unit, Hero, or building...(If I load the map's unit data, it will crash by clicking a human town hall or human build button.)

look i had this problem once where i had a upgrade loop error which caused the game to crush when i clicked on my builder.

make sure ur building doesnt upgrade to anything,
make sure nothing else upgrades to your building.

Yes it has, lol, it's more that I have just been too busy and I now have the time to pick it up again.

Okay here is the map with just the object data in it - no scripts/triggers - the issue is not here.

Anyhow major, major thanks to anyone who can crack this. Also it is really not complete, but anyone who sees some potential or would like to offer ideas/help to develop it into something is welcomed. Just PM me or post, thanks.

I thought I should be fair and mention that if you don't have a very fast computer it may take some time to load and the editor may even say (not responding), just give it some time and be patient - there is a lot of costume data to load.

Holy crap. Enough doodads? Jesus. Taking a look now.

EDIT: Jesus. This is really something else. I looked at everything connected to Town Hall (Including Keep and Castle). I reverted all of them back to default and I still crashed o_O' You might have corrupt Object Data. o_o' (I'm just poking in uncharted waters here, it's just a guess)

Lol @ 2xJesus. Yeah I like to have fun - on a side note it is a huge map - do you like the look all the same? Also I don't like hearing about this corrupted Object Data. Would copying the town hall from a normal map officially "reset' these values? Hmmm can you even do that? I would have to create a script for melee start up for the human race, uh oh now I'm definitely in uncharted waters.

Oh, btw thank you very much for your time and plus rep just for taking a look. If you have anything else, pls let me know. I would love to get this thing working.

Well, you could copy over all of the object data into a fresh map (to cut down loading time -_-') and keep trying. o_O' It might not be object data after all. But I don't see anything else that could be it :-/

If WC3 is crashing (Closing/Critical Erroring) then I can't help you there, but if It's freezing, just give it a few. It might come back.

So anyone else out there have any suggestions? It would be nice to know how to transfer smaller packets of information and not all object or unit data at once. That way I could test whole chunks to see if what one area contains the corrupt or functional data and not others. I could at least begin to narrow it down. Anyway thanks for your help.

I tried it and it did not crash at first (although it took about 10 minutes to load). It only crashed after I started trying to move towards my second goldmine. I could build structures and use my town halls.

BTW, there is a LOT of custom data :p

Wait, what the hell, you were able to build stuff using the human race? :nuts:

That is very, very interesting, anyone have a take on this? I crash instantly when I either try to build or even click on the human town hall. I have never had an exception to this. How could this be that you do?

I'm not sure about crashing on clicking build, but I did crash on clicking Town Hall.

There is still one question that I have yet to receive answer on but I have asked several times. I would greatly appreciate knowing if there is anyway to copy and past more than one unit at a time? Is there a program for this, or can it be done any other way? :banghead:

Uh. Object Editor -> File -> Export/Import Object Data

Okay I should have been more specific, but thanks. I want to know if I can do this without doing all. I want to move the data in batches to isolate the problem without doing one unit at a time or all for the matter.
