Music problem

Is there anyway to use an mp3 music (18.9mb) somehow and be able to host the map in b.net?

Compress the hell out of it so its no where near as massive and is within the regulated map size limits.

Soon to be 8mb, currently 4.3mb(ish).

I also had this problem. Problem is either you get too big map or too bad sound, nothing is good so i removed the music.

i wish MIDI files can be used. they can be like 10kbs for a 3minute song but i think its for purely instrumental music.

Midi is not so much a music format, as it is sheet music being generated by a computer.

You can play midi's, with JASS, though I'm not sure what the name of the function is.

Maby someone knows a good way to compress it?? That can be a way to solve it. But then you must have a little bit fewer songs 16 mb can be hard to compress to 3.

Widgetizer works with the game files, it does not do much, if anything for imported files.

Audacity is a great tool for working with audio files, though you will need to get one of the lame.dll encoding files in order to work with .mp3's.
