restart explorer w/o losing windows

Yeah, I have to restart explorer.exe quite often. Can't recreate now, but if you close windows a certain way, the hover effect remains, meaning that if you take you mouse off the taskbar you get the tooltip too. Pretty annoying.
If it matters I'm on 64bit of win7.

Not using any full screen applications.

I sometimes get the lasting hover effect, but it doesn't ever open tooltips for me.

Might want to update your video card drivers. That never happens to me

Yeah it happens to me too---but only after playing certain full screen games. It's a Windows problem, has nothing to do with video card drivers.
