selectable uncontrolable targetable unit

how do i make a unit uncontrollable for the owner, yet targetable for the ennemie. this unit has attacks and abilities. the abilities will be triggered to autocast.

Add and Remove locust?
This will make it targetable, yet unselectable.

Otherwise, just trigger the deselection.

Or, add the "Ward" classification to the units.

what is a ward clasiification?(i know this isn't my thread but i think that he might be wondering the same question as me) some kind of a skill or somthing?

slectable wouldnt be a problem, as long as it has no UI, so it cannot be given orders. but still be given orders trhoough triggers.

this trigger gets near:
e
p1 selects a unit
c
unittype of trig unit = myunit
a
remove trig unit from trig players selection

but it isnt what i'm looking for, you still see a UI for like 0.05 seconds..

Use "Ward" classification.
Remove the Command card for the unit, but allows it to use abilities.

You'll need triggers to stop "smart" (Right-Click - Move / Attack)

just use locust. add it and remove it and your units wont be selectable anymore but still targetable.

That is only if you click attack and click on them. The other unit's will not be able to attack it if you do attack-move with this.
A unit with locust-removal will not be auto aquired by the "unit AI" or "smart thingy" if you want.

I think those units are owned by other players and have the players colors.
That is in the most maps I have seen atleast. If there are at most 8 players, they are doing that.


This was just an addon to this thread with thought of that other questions like this can come up and this was not mentioned here.

all locust units i used are auto attacked even with attack-move orders by the AI. i never had any problems with it.

and for castle fight, the units are owned by you, classification ward and theres a trigger each time you order your units to do anything they are ordered to attack-move to the enemys castle.
