Spell Contest #3 | Theme: Icons | 18.03.09 - 04.04.09

Introduction:
Continuing on with the series of spell contests, Andrew and I have thought up another unique spell-contest theme. I'm pretty certain that this type hasn't been hosted before; so this contest, like the previous one, is an experimental one. Hopefully it ends up being as successful as the previous one!

The Theme:
So, the unique theme for this contest is icons. You must make a spell that would fit with one of the following icons. I've given you a choice of 4, and all the icons are pretty generic. So there's a lot of room for imagination!

The Icons:

Try to think outside the box, make the spell original. Though be sure to keep to the icons. For example, you'd probably initially think that the second icon is a magician firing a lightning bolt. However, you could move away from the norm, and assume that he's actually blocking a magic attack with his hand. Thus allowing you to make a spell shield or something. All the icons were selected to allow improvisation like this.

How to Join:
Simply post your submission in the Submissions Thread.
Remember you can edit your submission any number of times before the due date.

The Rules:

• Your spell must be created solely for this contest
• No imports except Vexorians Dummy Model (And the icons) are allowed
• No systems except attachment systems are allowed. This includes systems that were made by you
• All short snippets are allowed
• Your spell must be active. (No auras, passives or autocasts)
• The spell must be triggered. Using just the Object Editor is disallowed.
• GUI, Jass and vJass are allowed.
• All spells must be able to be opened in Newgen without any extra mods.
• No hybrid code. No converted GUI. Pseudo locals are allowed.
• One submission per member; One member per submission.

The Grading:
The grading will be done by Andrewgosu and Romek (me). Using the following criteria:

• Code - 20 Points
  • Is it MUI or MPI?
  • Does it leak?
  • Can it be easily configured? (Damage, effect, etc)
  • Is it efficient?
• Eye-Candy - 20 Points
  • Does it look good?
  • Are there enough effects?
  • Do the effects not melt my eyeballs? (Is it overdone?)
  • Are the effects appropriate, or are random effects just played randomly?
• Theme - 10 Points
  • Does the spell go well with one of the icons?
  • If so, how well?
• Other - 10 Points
  • Does it amaze me when I use it?
  • Does it not lag?
  • Is it original?

Total: - 60 Points

Saturday 4th April Midnight (GMT)

I just collected all my 11 system libraries to one map, so I dont have to search them from different maps, and this is how you thank me?
