Old Visage had things like Soul Assumption giving HP regen to his flying buddies when Visage attacked or something like that.

Anyways, Updated to v0.235 :D

The reason why I feel the old template isn't good enough is because with the old one, you can't create a hero, get a few friends together to play your edited version, & after some tests get experience and data on what should be changed. With this, you can. Also, I do not support map stealing, I just think having something like this would help map makers make their own maps better.

Nicely said. Currently DotA is just dominating all the other maps out there and the mapping industry is just going down... but hopefully with this map people can try something new and better.

I will try to help you with this map. I'm not good with triggers and GUI but I'll do my best with new ideas and balance (those are my specialty) :thup:

Updated to 0.236. The changelog has what's been done to the map. Hope you guys like it. :D

Sorry for the long wait guys, I've been on vacation from editing the map for some time, but I haven't given up on the project!

It may take quite some time before this becomes a polished map, but it'll get there eventually, I promise. :thup:

terribly hard to code, i think you mean. actually the new visage, if given the proper allies, is a real force to be reckoned with. visage and ursa, or visage and destroyer, or visage and tauren chieftain...really good allies.

An attempt to recreate the popular map, DotA Allstars.
Version: 0.237 (Beta)

A Short Story

“Darkness comes upon the ancients once again after many brawls throughout the battlegrounds. Cenarius, the Lord of the Forest, awakens the other ancients, calling them to fend off the invader; the Undead. After being destroyed at Eternity's End, the Undead are revived by a new presence.”


The Map

This map is being developed on in the hopes that map makers may have an easier time making their own map better. I've always wondered how the game would be if there were certain additions to it that never were implemented into DotA Allstars, like a new hero or game-mode. This map I've been piecing together for few months now is here. It's not done but there is alot of headway made.

I agree, it may sound lame to do this, but it's for good reason. Why not try? There are heroes in other maps that aren't played often. If they could be tested in DotA Allstars it might give the creator a new view on how he/she could improve their hero, making more well-made maps. FAQ
Question: Are you just deprotecting the map and calling it your project?

Answers: There's two things to that. One, no I'm not deprotecting anything. Two, it's not completely my project to begin with. People in the past have helped me think of this idea, I just continued its life.


Question: Why are you recreating someone else's work?

Answer: Because I want to, and because I think it'd help others.


Question: I want to help code hero abilities. Should I make it in GUI/JASS, & does it matter if it's MUI?

Answer: I would prefer we work on this in GUI. After five years of editing I still don't know JASS that well. It should be in MUI too. Post or PM me if you want to help out.

It's that special time again. Updated the map with four (4) different heroes completed. Not four abilities, but four full heroes. Enjoy :D

tl;dr.

But..
You're making this so map-makers can take a look at the triggers and learn? o.0

If that's the case, I'd like to help out where spells are concerned.
Just give me a task.

(I do Jass, though.. If you don't want Jass, then I won't be able to help xD)

If you can make JASS triggers easy to read/understand like GUI triggers then that's okay. :)

Edit - This map is not for efficiency. If you want an efficient map people, then play the original map. If you want an easy-to-learn-from map, this is it.

Project Goal: Easiness > Efficiency.

Maybe people wanna' learn how to code Jass spells XD

I will not do the hero's stat growth, range, etc.

Q1: If it has no difference on the original version, Isn't just kinda, a waste of time? You could just play the original.

Q2: Are you making your own heroes and systems if you have already copies all DotA stuffs?

Q3: Why are you making a revival of it even if the original is still being freshly update and is not dead.
