It's not that big of a deal if you have a second account in a case like this, as long as you don't use it for negative things, such as repping yourself or getting past a ban.

Why do you need to 'start over'?

If its just your name, ask for a change.

If its the ammount of -rep you have accumulated - those are just pixels on a screen. The point of rep is not whether it is red or green, but the message attached to it. Its about why you got it.

I've seen someone with disabled rep, so it can be done. Don't know why though..

Rep can be disabled, but that doesn't mean it's not there....

You can just change your email through User CP and use a new username.

Of course the way things are here: if theres no reason to do it, it won't be done.

"Disabled" rep is disabled reputation. Shows 0 rep and you don't have to care for +/- rep anyway since it's useless (because it shows disabled rep).
