Tutorial How to change your map font.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to change your map font easily!

First, let me show you a few screenshots of the font on in-game.

To do this, let's follow the 5 easy steps.

Step 1: Downloading

You can go Here to choose a font type. There are thousands of fonts you can find there.

Step 2: Extracting

After downloading the font you want, you will need to extract it.

Step 3: Importing

Now, it's time to import it at your map!
Click import on F12 on World Editor, then click import, then choose the font you just downloaded.
Remove the "war3mapImported\" on the path.

Step 4: Game Interface

Now, let's go to Game Interface.
Put check on the top left box.
Replace all the "Fonts\FRIZQT__.TTF" with the name of your font ending with .ttf.

Step 5: Roll It!

Click save and start your map!

Tips

Tip 1 - Some fonts on the link I gave you are all capitals, some fonts has no numbers, some fonts has huge file size, some fonts has low file size, some fonts are incomplete, some fonts has big and small font size, some fonts are just drawings. So choose wisely.

Tip 2 - The font does not affect floating text, player name on chat and player's chats.

Tip 3 - You can do multiple fonts on your map.

then why cant I find the fonts section? I followed this to the dot. I have newgen and I have enabled usme.

Although I don't really see a whole lot of practical use, I think this could be expanded if there was a sort of Code you could use in the Editor to change the font, like color code, but for font.

I'm more interested about how to change the font for the editor.
Make the difference between 'I' , 'l' for rawcodes is pretty hard, you have to guess and try because the result is the same ...

I've tried that before, though it didn't work.

I've tried with and without UMSWE enabled, and I have NewGen 5d, but I can't find the Font section. Even with hitting F to go to the font section, it's not there. Do I need another file added to the NewGen folder like for invisible chat?

I think you need to have an english editor, since i can't find it also, and i've not an english one.
Maybe it's like Risc's colorizer.

The Font section at the Game Interface is at the TOP part, the second one. Below chat. I dunno if my NewGen 5d is different. w8

EDIT: I forgot, i made this in 5b.
EDIT again : I think the UMSWE needs to be enabled, as what jalisco said. of course, UMSWE is needed.

also, if you change games, like you play a game with a custom font and then you play a game like dota, it crashes.
