i'm still rethinking / recoding some skills to use the spellpower attribute..

i'm gonna recode some blizzard spells so that i can inject the attribute better.
(ie chain lightning, acidbomb)

and spellpower will not only add damage. on other abilities it will prolong the effects or make them stronger.

This is pretty much awesome. I love how you've made all those terrain (or from Blizzard Map).

I won't be able to help you though, 'coz I'm focusing on my Panda Wars map. :D I'll test it and get back to you :D

hmm.. still i havent worked on the map within this vacation.. too busy..
getting my pc reformatted tommorow. saved a backup copy already, dont worry.

Pirate Treasure Hunt

The are quite a few 'pirate ships' stranded across the shorelines.
i'm thinking of making them 'points of control', captureables.
but i still cant think of any benefits/rewards.

gold per sec is quite small/common/sorta useless though...

any more ideas?

interesting.. maybe.

i'm thinking there are too many for them to all spawn attackers.
maybe some of them

more ideas needed.. there are more ships.

EDIT:

i have 6 pirate ships along the shore..

now, 2 for unit spawns. 2 for somehting, and another 2 for something..

How about when captured you can have a quest where you need to find treasure chests around the area.

When captured you can learn the ultimate pirate skill (Looting) which allows you to acquire items from slayn enemies or extra gold.

How about those 2? Or maybe undead pirate style, you can build up an army of undead pirates.

2 for spawning.
2 for raiding and taking treasure.
2 for using as an "Artilery". You can enter it with your hero and use it to shoot from far away.

Also, are you using Shipwrecked ships or normal ones. It would be quite weird for ships to sit around waiting for someone to capture it. Probably have some pirates appear when you attack the ship?

At last got some spare time to test the new version. Just tested it with the thief goblin, and it was fun. Though it tends to be more boring when you are playing in a single player mode. If you ever want to perform some multiplayer testing just add me up at Garena, my username there is FhelZone. I have 6 days to go as a gold membre so choose any room you want to perfrom some testings.

sometimes me and my boardmates go to the local computer shop for 2on2.

they're somewhat impressed sometimes.. :D.

after the game they'll keep bugging me for changes.. and i do them.

Planning to make another overhaul.

with these planned changes:

Gameplay:
Spell Power will be implemented.

Heroes:
Majority will be changed/overhauled.
some will be removed, maybe.
more will be added.

Items:
majority will be changed maybe.
spell power items will be implemented.

Terrain:
laning / pathing will be pretty much the same.
bases will be elevated.
will add more stone walls / paths.
will make jungling/foresting possible in some strategic areas.
central hero-pick area will be removed, in place of a new 'boss' jungle.
