Obama's comment about small towns happens to be pretty close to the truth, though. I wouldn't hold it against him.
But the fact that he shouldn't have said it but did makes it stupid. \/

I take offence to that... I don't cling to guns (though I might at some point) or religion (I just dislike peoples ignorance of religion), yet I live in a "small town"Obama's comment about small towns happens to be pretty close to the truth, though. I wouldn't hold it against him.

Isn't it great when someone calls you ignorate or a red-neck? Just makes my day.
Basically, we were screwed either way. Obama wasn't my first choice, but I'll be damned if I risk Palin being president.
You can bet your ass next year I will be voting against her. Satan himself could run against her, I will STILL vote against that woman. From what I saw of her, she didn't seem to know what she was talking about at all.
Didn't he get his lead when McCain said that the US had a good economy and everything crashed the same day?
I wanted to hear a "Allah bless you" instead of "God bless you" in the end of his speech. Too bad.
Obama is a Christian.
And now these guys are soon to be the leaders of this country.. Ironic, ain't it?
Actually, I would think that Satan would be quite more usefull to world politics then Palin. Satan can't mess up nearly as bad as she would.
I am finding it more and more difficult to even speak to a Republican.
It is like an atheist trying to argue with an evangelical. We are speaking two different languages. Democrats favor science and reasonability. Republicans favor faith and stubborness. Now that Obama has won handidly, and America has spoken, the stubborness and disrespect of Republicans is even more outspoken. This is all Republicans have left to fall back on. So they will continue name calling and trashing of Obama regardless of the integrity of his policy. Deep down, I think most of them realize that their idealogy is wrong, but instead of admitting it, and holding themselves accountable for broken ideas, they defend it. It's kinda like when Palin defended that Russia's physical proximity to Alaska somehow broadens her foreign policy experience. All she had to do was correct herself and admit that her argument was legitimently inaccurate, and America would have respected that. Instead she beat a dead horse. But once again, these are republicans we are talking about, and like I stated earlier in this thread, only death will rid us of this mindset.

And I as a democrat would have admitted I mispoke. All she had to do was correct herself and admit that her argument was legitamently inaccurate, and America would have respected that. (unfortunately,in this example, Palin is so ignorant that she REALLY did believe this, but you can still understand the point I am making ) Instead she beat a dead horse. If I bought you a plane ticket to somewhere else would you stay there?
and Sarah Palin?..... I took the liberty of buying you a plane ticket back to Wasilla. Now go home and stare at Russia from your house. Hopefully for eternity.

That's the only way a person like you could handle a person like me.
Wow, that was a very impressive argument. But fine I'll agree if you just go away.
