Hey.
This is the first project i started on my own and hope you people enjoy it.

In this map you have a sniper to control and the objective is to snipe and kill the players on the other team and the first to get a set amount of kills win or the most after a set amount of time.

There are 2 teams of 6 players. Hopefully later there can be a choice to 6vs6 or 3vs3vs3vs3.

There will be lots of cover and key points to capture to give your team advantage in battle. There are also high ground that can be use to snipe and not be noticed but can easily be back stabed in those places if they know your there.

In this map there are head shots but its still a bit dodgy with the terrain hights and stuff. Use the cover provided.

Remeber "If an enemy is in range your in range too"

I will Upload Screen Shots when im futher in the terrains progress and closer to the finish

Things about the map that you get to decide.
1. How Should the revive system work with the respawn.
a. The Higer the level the longer it takes
b. flat respawn rate, doesnt increase or descrease at all
c. The More you die the longer it takes to respawn
2. What should the teams be
a. 6vs6
b. 3vs3vs3vs3
c. Set at match start meaning both will be playable.
3. How should you reload
a. One bullet at a time
b. Reload all at once

Bullet Systems is a bit buggy but getting some fixxing up

Reload system is still to come.

so is this like the original snipers where you just A-Attack a unit, who ever does it fastest gets the kill?

or does this use a bullet projectile system, then you go into the realm of maps like elim tourney and mine

Marksmen sound good. It sounds oddly gar.

Anyway, about the suggestions part: I think it's more user friendly if the respawn rate increases with level. The deaths - respawn idea could also be viable as long as it increases really slowly and starts off with a few seconds cooldown.

What about different guns with different reloads? The ultra-strong sniper guns reload once at a time, and the assault-shotgunny types reload all at once.

This use a bullet system and it looks like your really sniping like FPS when you go into snipe mode and Thx Razal dont worry ill still do Qurantine so dont have to get someone new

Sounds good. Reminds me of this map.
The problem with that map was the aiming system was really rough. I hope you have a nice and easy to use aiming system

thx ill try to get a demo map soon so you people can test the sniping and that and give some feedback on what can be improved and tweeked a little before the final map release

Can you organize up the first post a little bit?

This gives a much fairer rate for all players. New players will not be out waiting to respawn all the time, and will have the extra time to catch up.

2. What should the teams be

Depends. What is the game objective?

3. How should you reload

With a Sniper Rifle, shouldn't there only be one bullet in the chamber? (Reload after every shot). If you're planning on having other guns, why not go by other games:

Shotguns you can reload one shot at a time, can hold X bullets.

Machine guns, Pistols, etc have clips, requiring you to reload all at once.

Also, does this use any custom systems to simulate being under cover, or do anything special for units on higher terrain? Is it simply running around with a rifleman, or is it so complex as to have a custom fade filter with crosshairs, and arrow key/mouse aiming?

You've told us very little about the game except the ideas. What are your plans?

Okay yes i use a fade filter system so it looks like a First Person Sniper and move the scope with the arrow keys.
You will by getting to X kills first or the most kills after x min depens on game mode.

A sniper you have to reload after evey shot yes but it also can carry x bullets that has to be reloaded when empty. So its a short reload after every shot and a long reload after x bullets are fired

I like Marksman instead of Marksmen. Gives the feel that there's one, true sniper above the rest.

Are shots one hit kill, or do you get bonus damage for hitting specific regions, for instance, the head?

yes 2 shots to the body to kill and 1 head shot to kill.
