OffTopic: You guys are using GIMP, right? How did you get effects like that avatar for R@d14nc3? I've been experimenting and haven't found much that just kind of mushes the image around like that.

Smith uses photoshop and I use GIMP. To get effects like that you probably need to make selections and then do color fills.

I use Photoshop. To get these effects, you have to use lot of filters. I learn from tutorials, so if you use photoshop, you can look for some photoshop tutorials on yahoo.

hi i have a request for 2 icons.

#1 - meteorain
I would like a man at the top right that looks like hes in the distance and he jumped into the air with a meteor coming from him to the front left of the icon.
if you need a better explanation i will do a crappy little example in paint for you.

#2 - Whats that?
I'd like a hand pointing from left to right with a red question mark behing it.

However for good, wc3ish icons, there is mostly needed hand work, IMO. Anyway, this applies more for scratch icons, than edits

You have to extract it. Just right click on it and select extract. (I'm pretty sure, if you use windows, that winzip is with it by default, so it shouldnt be a problem)

I have a request please andrew:

Can you make me an icon that has an electric theme to it? I need the electricity to be blue, with some sparks if possible please And, also, I don't want the icon to be like a 'thunder strike' or anything; just lots of random electricity around the place. (plz don't make it to bright, but not to dark)

And could you please make a PASBTN, and PASDISBTN version of the icon as it is a passive ability icon.
(remember to make the BTN, and the DISBTN )

But I'm pretty sure it would work fine even if you put it like a normal icon...

hi guys (andrew & whitesock), could you make an icon for me?

the icon has like 5 bright orbs within an icon, and the background is dark color
and this focusses the person attention to the orbs,

btw, use the color of white blue black, not red yellow green purplse hehe
a soothing color <3

place the orbs in a pentagon method, you know?
in 5 different angles, and each orb is touching one another.


something like down there, the placing of the orb, but the orb is touching
each other, 1 orb touches the 2 other orb

Here it is. I started it off in purple since I thought that was more soothing then other colors, then saw that you said it wasn't. I changed it to blue real quick but it just doesn't look as good.

(By the way, this is the first decent icon (in my opinion) that I've made from scratch so far! )

coiuld you make abit of adjustment with the orb?
because 2 of the orb is not touching with each other

and could you make the orb like electric somethiing like that?
blue electric orbs, ?

put some bright color inside the orbs (bright blueish color)

with the dark black background, it focuses user attention to the orbs
