Terraining - Volcano Island

Would it be possible to resize those screenshots to about half the current size?
(Optional: without the grid (or is there some particular reason to have it?))

I resized the images a bit. Well, the grid is there to show, what it would look like in editor. (And I realized after taking the screenshots that I can remove the grid in WE)

True, but when I made the screenshots, I used this trigger:

    Events
        Map initialization
    Conditions
    Actions
        Game - Set the time of day to 12.00
        Game - Set time of day speed to 0.00% of the default speed

So techincally the time didnt move, (dont care about einsteins theories) and neither did the lava. Conclusion: No burnt trees.

"When I took this screenshot, time was stopped, so the lava didn't move, and never touched the trees."

Fair point. But if I made Volcano Island, everything on the island would probably be dead

I would recomend using some form of sandy-grassy-dirt between the grass and the shore, aswell aso n the inside towards the volcano.

In the very beginning of the tutorial, it says to use the Sunken Ruins tileset to start out with, but when I looked later, it shows you used the Lordaeron Summer Tileset for the base...

Well its a long story, but actually I didnt. Just made a custom tileset and mixed the sand and the dirt. Sorry for that. But it looks almost the same.

You spelled island wrong there

Good tutorial, didn't think you would use the actual volcano doodad. Just two things about your example - 1. There are trees in the lava and 2. Nice troll ROFL.

I'm going to practice this terrain and then maybe use it someday, I dunno.

Under "terrain editor", find Object list - move up/down and change it?

No idea if that actually exists or what it looks like on macs...

Hm... well, you should be able to change the keys to whatever you want.

File -> Configure Controls
You have to look for Selection - Decrease/Increase Z

You should be able to use Fn+down arrow and Fn+up arrow (that's what I have, but I'm not sure if it's the same for macs)
