Anyone Playing? I'm surprised there hasn't been any post about this here. I picked this game up looking for something to keep me entertained till MW2, Assassin's Creed 2, and L4D2 come out, and what i found was a great game that makes me forget all about why i got it.
The game is unique but at the same time draws so many elements from different games that any one can become familiar with it in seconds. The best way to describe it would be if you threw CoD, Halo, Bioshock, WoW, and diablo into a blender, and threw in a heavy dose of awesome, you'd get some where close to borderlands. The story line is a bit lacking, but that's not what you bought this game for, you bought it for good Ol' apocalyptic loot and shoot, and that's exactly what you'll get.
I'm about 75% through the game right now, and I've yet to get bored of it, the Co-op is fun, and the 4 classes really stand out. The Siren can Phase walk, and plays like a rogue/caster. Berserker can go berserk and deals out heavy damage with his fist, and fills the role of a tank. I haven't played as the Soldier or the Hunter yet, but the Hunter is a Sniper/Revolver expert who deals lethal damage from afar, and has a pet Bloodwing that can be summoned to deal damage to units around him. The Soldier is your basic run and gun kind of guy that fulfils the role of a support unit, able to deploy a Scorpio turret that can heal, shoot, and provide cover to the party.
If you're looking for a game like Diablo for your console, I highly suggest buying Borderlands, and if you're on the 360 hit me up, the gamer tag is Zomby Jezuz. I'll be the guy punching the shit out of thing with the Berserker.
