Setting a cooldown for autocast spell?

When I autocast my orbspell it just ignores the cd. How do I overcome this?

I'd say trigger it, not too difficult and works temporarily at least.

Auto-Attacks ignore the cd of Auto-Casts, there's some fix for this in the forum

Adding a cooldown on Fire Arrows doesn't work when the unit isn't ordered by the player.

How does icefrog set a cooldown to glaives of wisdom (in the past). I'm not sure I understand the fix at the OoL thread.

OoL is useless in this case since it's not Autocasteable, it's just a passive ability

I'm sure it works this way: Everytime the unit attacks order it to use the orb effect on the target, this way it always uses it's cooldown

I'm not sure about Glaive. But this cooldown bug is still a problem in DotA. It was never fixed. It happens even to Clinkz's Searing Arrows. Cd doesn't come up when the unit auto attacks.

The bug fixer in the OoL thread might actually help.... to a certain degree. But may not give a desirable effect for autocast abilities. I have not tried it before to be certain.
