iPhone 4 announced... thoughts?

Hi everyone,

Sooo, iPhone 4 has been announced... and well, it looks pretty awesome to me.

Some new features that are pretty cool: it shoots 720p video, has a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash (which can also be on while you shoot video), a larger battery, its thinner and looks really cool compared to the previous one imo, it's got the A4 in it, and a double resolution 960x640 screen.

It also has a dual mic, IPS display, shoots the 720p video @ 30fps, and offers 40% more talk time.

I have an iPhone now but will not be continuing if the data plans are being changed.

I believe that's the iPad's plan, although I could be wrong. It was previously unlimited for $30.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Starting Monday, June 7, AT&T will no longer offer unlimited data plans, meaning most customers will no longer be able to e-mail, text or stream as much as they want.

AT&T customers who already have a plan will not be affected. New customers will now only have two data plan options to choose from costing $15 to $25 a month.

So basically that means, no websites, since they take up so much to load and etc.

I tried looking for specs, funny that i had to search kinda hard to find something that should be simple to find.

But anyway, it has the same clock speed as the iPad and because apple has its own hardware, it should be faster than the 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor

I suspect the iPhone 4 won't have the 1GHz clock speed that the iPad does, but I may be wrong.

What's wrong with the camera?

Hardware wise the most appealing features to me are the screen and the thinness (according to Apple, it's the thinnest ever). Software wise, multi-tasking and folders

ive always been interested in apple stuff, just not the people, my father is also becoming an apple user so ya.

Another thing is, the ipad is only clocked at 1Ghz so its not far-fetched that the new iphone has the same clock speed, which it does the A4 processor apparently has 1Ghz

Huh, the unlimited Data Plan changing disturbs me as an AT&T customer and an iPhone owner... I see it says existing members will not be affected, but my contract is up next year in April-ish... If I want to renew my contract or get this new iPhone, will my Data Plan be adjusted to this new crap?

Because if so, I'm definitely not going to bother until either AT&T smartens up and puts it back the way it was or I just eventually jump ship to Verizon for the Driod...

I have a Jailbroken iPhone, so most of these software features aren't anything new to me. However, the new hardware looks, and sounds absolutely awesome; so I'm hoping to get one as soon as possible.

Hopefully I'll get some money when my exams finish, provided my results are good.
