TH Mini-Tournament Series #2 [RESULTS]

Yes, vestras invited me ^^ and he´s a bit better than me, he beat me a few times, but im improving fast against zergs.
ZvT is the harderst game for me, im good against protos and terran (from my same platinun league of course and some low ranked diamonds)
Well,I´ll introduce my self a bit, i played SC1 from 2000 s but i didnt ladder there, I just played some fasters posibles maps and stuff like that, I started playing Sc2 from september, as a terran cause that was the first campaing race, but im not bad at all with protoss and zergs, I could be gold with those races, but atm im focused on terran, if i hit diamond some time ill switch into random.
I ve never been in a tournament, but i subscribed here because i think it could be funny and i found that i can learn a lot if i join.

PS: Excuse my bad english, we have the worse english reachers in our schools :/ I´m doing my best to fix that too

I got a friend in bronze league who's 36/24 w/l ratio. His last game (which he won) was versus 2200points diamond player.

Sometimes the system just doesn't work well

Well i ve seen fruitdealer lose against a mass marine proxy barracks with bunkers so nobody is safe from cheeses, unfortunally that was before that patch witch sets bunker from 30 sec to 35 :/

True, but you'd be amazed how many players are too lazy to ladder and get to their real level.

In any case, there is something new to the procedure this time around. Just to make sure you guys are active or you have someone who is active that can remind you to check your account when you are needed. Before any Tournament can begin you will have to reply to Private Message or Post in this Thread. (The Message is going out soon)

Once everyone from the European League has done this I will roll out the bracket and the matchups.

First of all, Starcraft II is more or less a rock paper sissors game. You would be surprised how much of the entire game has nothing to do with build orders and actual micro.

Actually it is more like using the different tech trees in the right times, surprising your opponent, being bold.

Sure, all ins work on all levels (when u meet players that can't micro on the level) but they are blocked more often then you'd think.

For example, a few days ago, I ended up winning a pvp against a 2600+ diamond player, where as I don't ladder at all (since I got into plat I lost all wish to go 1v1, now I mainly screw arround in team games, ya know, for fun)

So all the "I am gold, he is diamond" Isn't really a viable excuse. Even if he surpasses you by everything, you can still win at least 1 of the games ^_^

Well, as far as the Euro league is concerned, Siretu and I are both playing off race. (Which means that Vestras has a good chance to win, if I have to be compleatly honest, and no, I am not neglecting the other players, just we have at least 2 ppl with 1 post in the forum, who have registered esp. for this tourney so...)
Back on topic- If siretu and I were playing with our main or strongest races Then the number of terrans in the euro league would be 3, 2 for protoss and 1 zerg.

So, yes, terran would again be the most played race, toss second, and last for zerg ^_^

funny but no.
The only reason diamond players lose to bronze is due to several reasons:
1) he's high
2) he's using a new strat and got cheesed
3) he's letting his friend play
4) he doesn't care
and no it's not a rock paper scissor game at and the player with the best micro will always do better, so micro does matter.
Offtopic: my apm in wc3 was 150, back when i was 13 and played as human

Nah, me and my arch enemie(s) have "best of X" all the time. It is quite fun, you can really learn a lot from those games... or just screw arround like hell. Either will make you day : ))

I play with Garry a lot in 2's and learn a bit from him.

Anyhow, I only have like 30 1v1 games under my belt. Hardly enough to accurately place me.

Garry, we should mass Phoenix again some time in 3 or 4's.

I am the biggest example of that. The Match maker always keeps placing me against higher opponents.
