Im wondering, does slow time decrease speed with leveling, or does it increase bubble size? or is it both? anyone know?
Also, thinking about it, slow time would have been so useful in d2. If you ever got grushed into hell early on so you could level off diablo runs in hell, usually what killed you was the fire nova diablo cast, which could have saved so many deaths with slow time (bubble yourself, wait for the nova to go away outside the bubble and leave the bubble until the blast inside the bubble goes away)

Trying to bring this back to Demon Hunter, is anyone actually gunna attempt dual wielding crossbows? xbows are usually noted for higher dmg with lower atk speed, and since you can only 2wield small xbows, it sort of ruins the whole point of an xbow. I personally always stick with a bow over xbow in games (diablo, fable, etc).

Time to wonder about the classes they are going to put into the exp. ! :p

Well, My first is probably going to be Demon Hunter. 2nd will probably be barb.

Cool idea, but was that fire nova really the problem? To me, fighting Diablo was one long motion of dodging that Red Lightning he threw at you then hitting him with a few tornados (I now HATE that spell), then dodging again. It was the bloody red lightning that was the real threat.

And for the dual-crossbows thing, if they've publicised the Demon Hunter as using it, then it's pretty certain that it's going to be a viable option.

it seems like the only reason they did the dual wield is for it to be "awesome" (they honestly used that word at blizzcon at least 150 times). the only use i see for it is having the attributes from both weps but i think in the end itd still be ebtter to use one epic bow/xbow.

@ the slow time i was using that example for surviving hell diablo when ur level 10 for example. if ur hit by anything ur dead, and since he focuses on the hammerdin/sorc thats leading the hell diablo runs, the only thing that really hits you is the fire nove.
it was just an example though. nother example i can think of is for andy runs for mf in hell, if the sorc had slow time she could easily avoid those single poison blasts she throws which do massive psn dmg in hell. it was the only thing that killed me every now and then when i did andy runs as a sorc.
the point is is that i think slow time would have been really useful in d2 in general. cool that they gun have it in d3 now :3

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with putting something in a game because it's awesome, as long as it's implemented well.

if it works then yeah sure, but its just that i for some reason feel that it will be useless, and awesomeness is the only reason they put it in.

Im still going to make the Monk. Im not a fan of ranged combat and that is what the Demon Hunter is made for. Aside from the whole ranged thing though the Demon Hunter Looks awsome.

Looks awesome, though I will probably be going whichever class there is the least people on. I like feeling wanted. :)

y, being unique was one of the most lacking things in D2 /: hopefully that will be fixed in D3 :)
I'll probably be going for the Witch Doctor, Barbarian or Wizard... cant decide :S
It seems like I will have to flip a coin

DH looks pretty stupid imo. Looks boring to play and most of the time is spent running away.

I think the team wanted to go with something a la rogue, but didn't quite want to do that in the diablo universe, so a mix between that and the amazon came up.

Personally, i never really enjoyed playing this kind of class in Diablo. Shooting classes were just not right for me in this game and i found them a lot more boring than the rest. I would rather jump, hack and slash with a barbarian than stand and throw weapons like a crazy person (although it is fun, it does get a bit tedious).

Personally, i don't think the demon hunter is bad, i just think we haven't seen plenty of her (him?). In reality we've seen combos from every class now, except something that is completely viable with the DH. Maybe the granades and then roll back could be cool to use as a trap, but we need to see more spell combinations. The witch doctor has his dogs with plague, barbarians have jump and cleave/whirlwind/slash/stomp and anything in between, monks have fast moving spells that in themselves are combinations, and sorcerer is just freaking awesome. When we see more about the class (most likely in the beta) we can judge better.

I'm going to go ahead and agree with Nenad there.

I think it's also important to consider team play. With Battle.net upgraded vastly since D2, I lot of us are probably going to spend a fair amount of time in groups. Just consider how deadly the Demon Hunter would be in combination with a Barbarian. You've got to hand it to Blizz; it can't be easy to design classes for both solo and co-op play, but they seem to be doing a pretty good job so far.

Blizzard is doing a good job at that. But I for one wouldn't use a ranged class in solo play. In my experience ranged class tend to take more damage when hit, which I really don't like. I will of course try the Demon Hunter, but not until I have a group to play with.

This is pretty much the Amazon of D2 and the Assassin of D2.

... Though, I don't like the double Crossbow part. IMO it's too unrealistic =/
And like sqrage said, you'd probably spend all the time running away and kiting.

If they make her use different weapons other than ranged ones, like a spear or something (since Daggers are so overused atm), I'd reconsider her :3

If you're worried about realism, I would like to direct your attention back to the freaking COMBAT SILETTOS.

In response to the point made about the playstyle being entirely running and kiting... yeah, it'll probably have a lot of that. But from what I've seen, she'll have at least a few abilities that cut right through the guts of of groups of monsters, and that 'Entangling Shot' move looks like all kinds of useful.

And I just remembered something; we haven't seen her 'demonic' skillset yet. Any guesses on what that'll include? I'm going to guess at something like the 'Metamorphosis' ability the Demon Hunter in Warcraft III had.
