Terrain Contest II - Voting

7 Because it reminds me of Fall in California, which looks just like the summer

I voted for 1, mainly because it has a great autumn/fall feel and great depth.

As stated previously by many, 7 is more of a spring/summer themed terrain, which I hardly can fit into a autumn/fall context at all (perhaps this is due to the Swedish autumns which all consist of rain and some more rain).

Number 8 is quite the terrain aswell, and I really like the sky in this particular picture.

So just to repeat that which was stated in the beginning, I voted for 1.

Voted 1 again, with the same reasoning as my previous post.

As for #9: While it does have the autumn feel with the accurate tinting of the sunlight it lacks something, some background perhaps. It seems a little too plain, with nothing more than a few trees that covers a large part of the picture.

But, yeah, #1 is pwnage. I really don't like #8 at all o_o' The cherry blossom is nice, but it doesn't really fit... "FALL". More like "SPRING" o_o'

7, even thought it goes a little bit "off topic" with the foreground but never mind. At first I was going to vote for 1 but I changed my mind.

The contrast between background and foreground is a little strange in #1, maybe that's just me though. In any case, it's stunning. #1 gets my vote.

Number 1 stole my heart!

I had a look at 7, and although it was very nice, the colour was way off. It looks like an alien planet with that fog.

I also liked 9, but on closer inspection, the repetition of the one leafy doodad kills the image in one swift blow.

And I really hate to be mean, but 5 was simply awful. You have a night sky in what looks like the middle of the day.

So number 1 it is! With great colours, great grass and tree doodads, and distant attention to detail combine to create a stunning image.

This is the word of a formal art analyst in-the-making.

8 looks REALLY neat, imo. Only problem is that pack of trees in the back ground...
1 looks neat as well. Once again, one problem: wtf is up with that gray-ish line in the bottom? Giant root or bunch of rocks?
While a lot of people seem to have voted 7, I think it looks ridiculous. Too spring-ish, and that yellow tint burns my eyes.

I think 1 gets my vote, though I'd really like to vote for 8... that pack of trees is just disturbing.

One last note: in 9, that repetitive bunch of leaves is ugly, though I understand its probably just a fall tree with like 5% Z scale and 15% other scales and that can make it hard to give it variations.

7 is extremely bad. It just abuses the old concept of "high res models look good - I won't have to make any terrain whatsoever!" The whole thing is poorly made, doesn't even look like fall and has flaws everywhere. The clash at the front between wc3 models and high res models is awful. The poison gas yellow tint all over the place makes it look summer or spring-like. The whole picture is extremely bland and just abusing high res models, it's barely even a terrain. The tile variation is, partly due to the high res use, extremely poor. The rocks are well placed in some points, however in the foreground they look rather strange, especially with grass blades and flowers growing out of them.

7 and 1 are equally awesome. At the end I went for 7 because it fits the theme better overall IMO.

I voted for 1. The battle between the first and last terrain was pretty even.... but I picked the first one.

Every other terrain was enjoyable and I congratulate every one of the contestants for trying. Nice work guys!

On a related note I was going to vote for the 7th one but then I did read the theme it said "Fall".
