    Hey ur back! Hope u enjoyed Italy :D I dunno, an acquaintance of mine just tried to commit suicide last night, got me a bit rattled, but he's fine now. My DotA game is going slowly, although I've completed the items, I still need to make a whole bunch of heroes by this weekend (cos thats when I'm testing this map in a LAN)!

    How was ur holiday?
    I guess the best way would be to host it on battlenet every once in a while and hope that someone finds it enjoyable enough to host again.
    I'm rather familiar with maping team troubles. I have this project for example, started out lovely with me, Flare, TheDamien and WastedSavior. Then about a month after we started working Flare kind of quit map making more or less, and not long after that TheDamien took a break from it. So after not too long, I was the sole coder left to work on it with WastedSavior as terrainer. Now it's probably the slowest developing map on this site (still working on it though) :p
    Did I say "Castle Wars"? I meant to say "Castle Defense" maps. =P

    Castle Defense maps are where you have to protect the 'king' in the center of the map by having each of the four entrances to the castle held off from attack (through units of your own, towers, etc), so that units can't get inside to attack the king.
    I hope to have it done by the end of next week... although it will take longer to make the modes. It'll take even longer now that I'm back at school... (and my mom's on my case :p)

    Lol unlucky! At least you can still get some internet. At the very least, you can chat with us, solve some problems, score some rep whatever.

    So you're stuck at a family friend's house, and they have nothing to do, and the most exciting thing you can do is play table tennis :p Oh well, it's times like that when you should try to enjoy life. Take a walk, or rent a bicycle, explore the neighborhood, if you look in the right places, you'll find enough things to do that you'll never be bored :p

    As a matter of fact, I am. I just went back to school today after a month of holiday, so I won't have nearly as much free time as I did in the recent past :/

    As corny as this sounds, I'm making my own DotA :D I would normally say AoS, but DotA kinda somes it up quickly. Except my DotA will be quicker, more balanced, more newbie-friendly, have a bunch of really fun modes, and some other features which are unfortunately confidential at this stage :p

    I could use some ideas for the unlockable units. They probably shouldn't consume the points, merely have a point requirement (either Monolith or Battle Point). My idea is to have the player get a Racial Building based on the hero they picked (if you choose a Furbolg hero, you get a Furbolg-Race Structure).

    This way, each race can have a place to get their units and each race could (possibly) have a unique unit.

    Currently, I'm thinking that each race should have an aura Critter that can help with its auras. There could also be a scout unit. These two should probably use a Third Resource, like Reputation (it acts like Food) and have no point requirement, since they should die easily.

    Would be grateful for any kind of idea (unique or global unit). There's no need to decide the stats and stuff, a concept is good enough :)
